Janet Owen: President
Janet Owen was born in Schenectady, New York and has lived all over the United States due to job transfers attributed to her father's career in the space program as well as her own career in the newspaper business. She graduated from high school in San Luis Obispo, CA and received her bachelor's degree in Graphic Communications from California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly). Immediately following college, she went into the newspaper business attaining senior level management positions with the Los Angeles Times, Wall Street Journal, and the Minneapolis Star Tribune. Through her work in the newspaper business, she met her husband, Denny, and they married in 2003. She is now making her permanent home in Northwest Indiana. She enjoys skiing, boating, walking and loves art and animals.
Dennis Collette: Vice President and Sales
Dennis was born and raised in Knoxville, TN and spent many of his early years on the family farm. He has strong large equipment mechanical experience that includes dry cleaning/laundry, boilers and large newspaper presses. He has held both sales and installation/repair positions in each of these industries. He is owner and president of Collette Mechanical Services, Inc. which specializes in newspaper equipment installations/repairs. Denny also presides over sales for the northern half of Indiana and southern Michigan. He has three lovely children and he enjoys skiing and multiple water sports activities.
Paul Sharkey: Operations Manager
Paul Sharkey is the Operations Manager for the Evans Garment Restoration Franchise in Indiana and Michigan. He joined Evans-Griffith in 2007. He has over 20 years of management experience in the service industry. Paul’s background includes training & development, operations and customer relations. The Evans commitment to quality and customer service was a major factor in his decision to join the company. Paul is looking forward to working with the team while expanding the business throughout the territory in Indiana and Michigan.
Tony Chapa: Regional Account Manager
Tony comes to Evans Garment Restoration with a background in Law Enforcement. He wanted to switch career paths to use his skills to develop and strengthen relationships. He served as the Supervisor of Special Agents with the Indiana Gaming Commission regulating the casinos in Indiana. He was part of a multi-regional SWAT Team after attending the FBI SWAT Academy at the Great Lakes Naval Base. He had spent nearly 10 years serving the Chicago area with assignments such as Investigations and the network 3 Gang Task Force. Tony served with a special operations unit as a U.S. Marine during the Persian Gulf War. He is currently pursuing a Master's degree at The University of Notre Dame. Tony likes to play rugby and various outdoor activities. His commitment to serving his country and his community has made him a great addition to the Evans family.
Denise Banke: GR Coordinator
Denise started with Evans in May of 2005. Denise’s responsibilities at Evans include orchestrating the drivers pack out and delivery schedules, coordinating with the plant manager and field representative supervisor to make sure the entire operation is running smoothly, and communicating with the account managers to ensure they are maintaining all of their contacts. She also provides excellent customer service. We are proud to have her as part of the Evans team.
