How Evans Handles the Very Small Percentage of Unsalvageable Items

Unlike many garment restoration companies, Evans will process every garment, textile and soft good that is not charred, heat yellowed, ripped, torn or otherwise physically damaged or has pre-existing damage or is less expensive to replace than to restore. Other than that, no exceptions! We never refuse to clean any item because of soiling or odor!

But, even though Evans successfully restores 92-93% of garments and textiles and 95% of soft goods, there will be a small percentage of unsalvageable items. These items are specially boxed and a detailed inventory affixed to the outside of the box, which is then stored until completion of the claim.

A detailed Restorer’s Report is issued with every invoice detailing the number of items, number of acceptable and unsalvageable items as a number and a percentage as well as other details to demonstrate our dramatically superior results!

And, at Evans, there’s never any charge for the very small percentage of items that are unsalvageable.
